Advocacy through Storytelling: The HanVoice Chapters Tour

This fall, from September 30th to October 4th

HanVoice is inviting university students to participate in a unique and eye-opening series of events—the HanVoice Chapters Tour. Through this initiative, we're focusing on fostering dialogue and understanding about human rights issues in North Korea through the powerful personal accounts of three individuals who have lived through them.

Our journey will take us to London, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver, aligning with the dynamic university chapters that have been pivotal in raising awareness. These campuses will serve as the backdrop for deeper discussions on resilience and the ongoing struggle for basic human rights.

Featured at these events will be North Korean escapees, whose stories of escape and subsequent challenges in rebuilding their lives speak to the indomitable spirit of those who seek freedom. Their narratives provide an invaluable personal perspective, rarely heard but deeply profound.

This tour is an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage on a topic that often feels far removed from our daily lives yet is dramatically shaping the lives of others.

Tickets are FREE with limited capacity.

The HanVoice Chapters Tour will feature participation from Western University in London, the University of Toronto, York University, and Toronto Metropolitan University, Waterloo University, Wilfrid Laurier University, and McMaster University in Toronto, the University of Ottawa and Carleton University in Ottawa, McGill University and Concordia University in Montreal, and University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.

The purpose of the HanVoice Chapters Tour is to offer a space where these voices, often unheard, can resonate with those of us who have the freedom to listen and the capacity to support. It's an experience designed not only to educate but to connect us more deeply with the global community and to recognize the common threads of human resilience and courage.

The events are set to provide a respectful and thought-provoking environment, as well as an exclusive chance to hear from speakers whose life journeys are rich with lessons of perseverance and hope.

Your presence is important. These stories are not just informative; they are transformative. They compel us to look beyond our borders and realize the impact we can have as part of a larger, interconnected global society.

To RSVP for your free ticket, please visit the appropriate RSVP link for the event in your city. Seating is limited, so we encourage you to secure your spot soon.

We look forward to seeing you at the HanVoice Chapters Tour, where together we'll journey through powerful stories and emerge with the knowledge and inspiration to foster change.
